My coaching clients often ask me what are the most important things they should do to get their business of the ground. The answer is always the same. Build your first 1,000 name prospect list.
Believe me, it’s easier than you think.
Here are some Hyper Fast List Building Tips to get you moving:
1) Find where your prospect likes to get information. Make a list of 5 online forums/discussion boards where your prospect hangs out regularly. Do the same exercise for web sites, and newsletters.
2) Spend time in the forums researching the top 10 hardest, most aggravating problems that your prospect experiences. Make a list of these hot-buttons because your going to need them for next step.
3) Create a "getting to know you" present: This gift is what you will give away in exchange for your prospect’s email address. The free gift also shows your prospect that you have something of value.
4) Create a simple squeeze page that promises that your Special Report will solve their top 10 most aggravating problems. Include an opt-in form on this page that only asks for the prospect’s email address. Keep it short and simple.
5) Create a series of email messages that welcomes your prospect and shares the benefits of purchasing your product. Don’t oversell. Simply talk to them like they are a good friend and you have advice that they can use.
6) Add a short teaser about your special report in all of your communications: Blog posts, forum signatures, Tweets, Facebook Updates, podcast mentions, customer invoices, voicemail hold messages, ezine solo ads. If you have the extra cash you can even use PPC to grow your list.
The most important point that you need to get is this: Start building your list now.
Now you have what you need to get started. Let me how I can help in the comment section below.
